We have been fortunate to have been involved in replacing the timber windows and doors in the three Makepeace Mansion refurbishment projects that have been carried out since 2009. Makepeace Mansions are blocks of ‘Tudor Style’ apartments set in the grounds of Holly Lodge Estate in Camden. The area has a rich history which can be traced back to 1798. Each block is four or five stories high with matching timber details, gable roofs, finials, red tiles and casement windows. Unsurprisingly, Makepeace Mansions have been considered a conservation area since the 1990’s.
Heron Joinery was engaged as part of an on-going refurbishment of Makepeace Mansions to supply new Casement Windows and French Doorsets that would match the existing style of windows and doors. The windows and doors supplied were factory finished and double glazed with a low u value.
